CWS-boco has a rich heritage in the provision of textile services in Europe and entered the Irish sterile surgical supply
market in 2005 through the acquisition of National Linen and Connacht Court Group, both of which were leaders in their field.
Building on the Company’s expertise, CWS-boco has seen our business presence strengthen and our product range grow as we utilize
the resources of our multinational parent company in bringing the latest developments in fabric technology and consumable
surgical supplies to the Irish healthcare market.
Our strength lies in our ability to maintain a local focus by customising our products and services to suit the requirements
of Irish clinicians and their patients.
To do this CWS-boco has tapped into local and international expertise to design a range of CE marked products and services
specifically for the Irish market.
To ensure that the products we produce are in keeping with best industry practice we invested in a new purpose designed ISO
Class 6-8 Cleanroom production unit within our Dublin facility.
Our team of over 30 experienced sterile supply technicians all serve to provide you with the highest quality sterile products
which are CE marked, fully traceable and compliant with the EN18375 and the EU Medical Device Directive.
CWS-boco's sterile reusable high performance drapes and garments provide excellent comfort, drapeabilty and protection.
Our materials are of the highest standards and represent the latest technologies in textiles available on the market. Our
aim at CWS-boco is to offer you, the clinician, the highest possible standard of garment giving you the choice and level of
protection you deserve.
CWS-boco processes all our sterile reusable products locally in Ireland employing both expert Irish knowledge and personnel.
This allows enormous flexibility when configuring your selection of gowns and drapes. You can choose from an extensive variety
of combinations to suit your exacting clinical needs without commiting to complicated stock holding agreements.
From our manufacturing base in Dublin we can guarantee you on time delivery at a frequency that suits your needs and within
24 hours or less in emergencies. CWS-boco can also provide an on-site just in time delivery service whereby trained service
staff will visit your Hospital on a daily or weekly basis to calculate your stock requirements and relay this information
either directly to our manufacturing site or to your Purchasing or Materials Department. Either way we save you valuable time
and resources at a time when both are in scarce supply.
Quality Policy
Every CWS-boco sterile surgical product is produced within a validated cleanroom environment and is CE marked in accordance
with the ISO 13485 Medical Device Standard and the EU Medical Device Directive. Each drape and gown pack is certified as a
Class 2a Medical Device and all staff are trained in accordance with the ISO 13485 standard. As with any medical device company
our business is audited by the NSAI on a regular basis to ensure compliance with all relevant ISO and EU Standards.
Sterilisation of reusable surgical drapes and gowns is performed in-house using steam sterilizers which are validated on
a quarterly basis by an independent contractor in accordance with HTM 2010. Bowie&Dick Tests are performed daily on the autoclaves
and routine microbiological testing of finished product, work surfaces and the cleanroom environment is performed using an
independent laboratory.
Each surgical drape and gown is identified using an RF-Id transponder to provide traceability throughout it’s useful life
and each pack is barcoded to provide full traceability from the date of manufacture. The incorporation of peel-off barcode
labels on each sterile surgical pack allows you to easily add the pack information to the patient’s chart to provide complete
traceability and thereby ensure compliance with best clinical practice.
Environmental Policy
CWS-boco Group’s Environmental policy can be summed up in four words - Serving You Serving nature.
With our extensive range of reusable Class 2a medical products we offer customers an environmentally friendly alternative
to disposable Drapes and Gowns. Faced with the increased financial constraints within the healthcare sector and the ethical
dilemma of environmental protection, the use of reusable textiles is the ideal solution to reducing costs while protecting
the environment. In a recent study published in the AORN Journal the study suggested that medical waste could be reduced by
up to 65% by the introduction of reusable textiles alone.
Just think how much disposable products are sent for incineration each day. The amount is staggering and so is the cost.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: We all know the mantra and at CWS-boco we believe in it, so much so we developed one of our own -Think
Green, Be Green, Wear Green.
Think Green - Before you decide on your garment or drape think of its impact on the environment.
Be Green - When you have given thought; act and be part of the solution.
Wear Green - Choose high performance reusable Sterile Supplies from CWS-boco and be assured that you are saving your hospital
money as well as helping the environment.
Of Course there are times when clinical demands, such as infectious cases require a disposable gown or drape option. CWS-boco
understands this and we are pleased to announce that in partnership with Steripharm UK we can supply you with a comprehensive
range of disposable gowns and drape packs to suit your needs. In fact CWS-boco Ireland is the only company in Ireland that
offers both a reusable and disposable option. So the choice is yours Think Green, Be Green, Wear Green!
